The hermitage at the top of Santiagomendi (Astigarraga), the impressive St Adrian tunnel that crosses the solid rock of Aizkorri or a visit to the Guadalupe and Itziar Virgins are landmarks along the Jacobean routes in Gipuzkoa.

Pilgrims heading for Santiago de Compostela used to reach our province and choose one of two paths, the Coastal Route or the Inland Route, that even today, still continue to offer two ways of exploring our area.
